Default Anime Vs Manga? Fair to compare?

I shall randomly pick an example so it will be easier for my thoughts to be understood. In this case, BLEACH.

I have noticed that in many other anime/manga forums, many people compare anime to manga, mostly things like adaptation, storyline, plot, etc. A good example of this is Bleach. The anime included additional characters like Bountous and the three small characters Ririn,Nova,Claude.

Words like "fillers" began floating around, sometimes criticism and vulgar words too. Do you all think that anime should follow the manga strictly and doesn't deviate from its original, be it storyline, etc?

    Of course.

Nobody likes to waste time on something that would not present itself in the long run.

No, i don't think so... It's fun having storyline deviate from each other imo.

In my oppinion the animators don't have to follow the manga strictly, Manga and anime aren't the same. What I'm trying to say is that an anime just can't follow the manga strictly due to various reasons (eg the storyline becoming too long or too short). I do think animes should follow the mangas concept and feel though, eg a serious manga turning into some unserious comedy is totaly out of place. The best, imho, would be the manga artist working together with the animators to ensure a similiar feeling.

Also fillers are not necessarily a bad thing as long as they dont strive to far away from the original concept. (I hate unserious fillers)

Oh crap, I was shocked when there is suppose to be another 2 paragraph of words.. somehow it disappeared.

To be specific, I meant using [the-anime-is-not-following-the-manga's-storyline] method in personal reviews.

An example will be the following link.
    http://www.anime-source.com/banzai/modules.php?name=Anime&rop=showcontent&id=549

Notice that some (or most) use "filler" in their reviews.
Is that the right thing to do? I mean, if reviews are meant to be done on the anime only, why compare it with the manga?

    No offense.. enlighten me.

    Not directing at anyone.
