    Default onrpg has definetly changed

ive noticed that a whole lot more of the members on onrpg have become a bit childish, not sure if this is in the wrong section or not but, i feel some ppl here need to hear this. Alot of ppl look at mmo's now and say "OOH GRAPHICS ARE GOOD SO IT MUST BE AWESOME!" and hype up the game more then it deserves. Then the game ends up being another clicking grinder. And then the process starts over again with the next game to come out. Also u guys need to make much better arguments, for example, why bash "wow" so much? Most of the arguments i see for wow are like, "ITS ANOTHER GRINDER AND IT SUCKS CUZ ITS WOW" i dont mind if a game gets bashed, but plz, whats so great about soem other MMO? Seriously? Say anotehr mmo is fun cuz u click on stuff and it dies or soemthing. Im not taking sides with WOW either. Im just sick of seeing rlly bad arguments. So plz have more logic to ur arguments plz, better arguments then soemthing like "GRAPHICZ SUCKZ LOLZ". And sorry for the wall of text.

A lot of Onrpg's members have always been pretty childish, there's not much anyone can do about that. :\
Good news about it though is that we always have something to laugh at around here.

Well since I've been reading* the boards at Onrpg it's always seemed a bit of a fight between people who like WoW and people who don't.

It doesn't seem that bad right now. I'd say the "X game is gonna rule!" hype is far worse than the WoW arguing. Most of the time people who say this are going on nothing more than screenshots, videos, and what the developer says the game is like. I think we can all agree that what we're fed by developers as "in game" is often just a lure to get people to play, and hope that they wont realise that promised features are missing.

Hype is far worse than WoW, because for most people it's far better to be surprised by a mediocre MMO than be let down by the same one because everyone on Onrpg declared it to be the bee's-knees without ever actually playing it.

As for logical arguments it's quite difficult to logically argue why you like something when someone else hates it, when it's often the features you like that the other person hates. It's just taste. Like our literal sense of taste, you often like or dislike the taste of something for no reason that you can explain to others. But yes, relating those likes and dislikes in a more adult way would be a start, wouldn't it.

    * joined today, been reading the boards for months

thank you sathie and elazulblack, i completely agree with you that its fine to argue, hell i agrued in my first post, but i just hate it when ppl have rlly stupid arguments and attack the other persons opinion based off of rlly chidish ideas. I like arguing, just make it worth reading, i dont want a flame war, i want a debate. All i ask is for non stupid comments, unless its a joke, then yeh, tahts fine. Just hate it when ppl make themselves look like asses for no real reason.

btw Age of Conan is rly different than all other mmorpgs
it's kinda like a console game, gfx is kinda like Elder Scroll: Oblivion

Pirates of burning sea is a little bit like voyage century but much much more detailed in every aspect. its fighting system is rly unique too
    and awesome customization :3

I will give out some p2p mmo beta accounts on curse soon
when the beta account distribution system is implemented on curse.com

warhammer Online, age of conan, pirates of burning sea, hellgate london... u name it =)

back to the topic... I dun have much to say... just treat others the way u want ppl to treat you...
it's a forum, just dun flame others... I dun care about anything else much

I think it's the general tendency that hits MMOs. The past years we've seen a massive influct of teenagers and pre-teenagers.
So yeah childish ? for sure. But that's because they are kids.

    Just my 2 cents.

Then punish them until they learn better. Ban them from the forums. It's never too early to learn to be at least some-what civil.
