the fact that people are addicted has nothing to do with being mentally "weak". EVERYONE is vurnerable to influences, but those influences originate from a diffirent souce for every man.
Imo, addiction is being influenced by something to such an extent that it causes a addictive behaviour.

smoking/drinking addiction is the same phenomenon as with gaming, only the excessive and addicting influence is not a game, but nicotine or alcohol ...

Smokers don't smoke 24/7 though. Some only smoke 4 or 5 a day, some smoke a whole pack a day. They're still weak, because they got addicted in the first place. It's all mental, first you THINK you're addicted so you keep smoking, then you get addicted for real. I used to smoke, 5 - 7 a day for two months. I didn't feel a thing and quitting was easier than starting. My friend started smoking and after a week he claimed he was addicted and needed nicotine. It's a weird thing, addiction.

I've played a Shillien Elder for years yet you don't see me trying to stab people with my ears. But I do know the skill recharge, *pulls out a coffee cup in a dramatic fashion*

If you did work in a Coffee shop you could say you were a SE with recharge. But then again it'd get to you cause' you'd hear "recharge plz" every 3 minutes. Specially in the mornings when you first log on.

But I have thought this through actually. What you would do is crumble up a piece of paper into a ball, light it on fire, and viola, fireball.

(When I was younger I thought a lot of how one would actually make magic appear to be real, not with the intent of harming people mind you)

I mean they always blame on something else... and rule out simplest fact; That kid was "Crazy". There, simple. No need to do anything fancy, just move along and put that kid to special school with other "crazy" people.
