Perfect world would be better.
It is more quest based, it is way more fun and you wont rly feel the grind. Their char custo is also pretty awesome.

I'd say PW is a much better game. Only problem with it is, at high level, you really have to spend a lot of money on the cash shop to compete. The cash shop really gives players an edge. If you wanna be really strong in it..be prepared to pay more (much much more) than a P2P game.

Yes, that really applies to every F2P game, that's why most modern MMORPGs are using that payment method because statistics show it's produced higher revenue.
Go for Rappelz, there's tons more PvPing in that than in Perfect World.of course i like pvp! Here's a few tips if you're going to try it out:
1.) Do not piss off high level players, seriously, they will make your life miserable. I should know, a player called me "******ed" and I never stopped PKing him, sometimes even going out of my way to kill him for about 2 weeks.I guess it's because I had it done to me when I was low level and wanted some form of revenge.
2.) Try your best to be friendly and sociable. This of course applies to all MMORPGs, but most especially in Rappelz because of so many reasons (just too many to list!) why. You'll find out for yourself.
3.) Hold onto your stamina savers for dungeon parties, they'll be a much bigger boost there rather than when you're hunting outside.
and finally 4.) Make sure to read all the rules and instructions on how to play at the website's forums, because if you don't know everything you won't know anything.

Perfect world is only quest based for so long..by level 36 you'll only get 50% exp from quests and it only gets worse from there on out, it's an insane grind, like .2 exp per kill in the 40's.
Now I've never played rappelz so I can't compare the endgame but I do know PW does have a good endgame, you can do territory wars every week to get new land and defend the land you have. Also there is free pvp past level 30 and dueling.

Both of them are my recent games. I was playing Rappelz first. Did nothing but farmed for hawkman cards for a week straight. I got 7 hawkman empty and it alled failed on me. So I said screw it, and went to play Perfect World.
The thing is with Rappelz, if you have crap luck, don't play it. This game is based purely on luck.

PW. Its just coming out and it has good content for a Free MMO. Rappelz I remember playing it when it came out a few years back.

PW is incredibly better than Rappelz.
More diversity in the gameplay and there is no random bans because you have a sorceror with a rare pet (Thanks GMs?).

well PW does lag alittle. I live on the East Coast of USA and i do not really feel the lag in PW cept for every now and then. Its just odd how it comes about. But I am fine with the connection I have.Perfect World is my choice
