    Default Ffxi

I was wondering if anyone could spare me a buddy pass for Final fantasy XI, i want to try the game before i actually go out and buy it. I just recently quit WoW because it didnt have anything i was looking for and i wanted to give this game a try, ive tried most free games and those dont interest me either. So if anyone could spare me a buddy pass I would greatly appreciate it.

The buddy key still requires a credit card, and the download is massive, Square are such dumbasses that they limit bandwith used by POL and thier website.

Last time I played about 6 months ago , it took 48 hours to download POL , FFXI base game and no expansions. Further more POL is crappy when it comes to updating , even if you manage to get a copy of FFXI , you have to wait for it check , download and install , about 30 hours.

I worked for this site a while back to pay my bills. You can find the keys for sale for as low as 7.00. You can also buy trial keys (aka buddy passes) from other sites for 2.00 or less.

Dont whine it cost 7.00 , the game is pretty dead currently. Wings was a huge flop , if you really want to try it go pay the 7.00

I ve got retail codes floating around (I ve bought the disk 7 times over the last 3 and half years) but I dont which ones are still good. Square cant manage MMORPG much at all, its hell getting your codes , and characters back.

And the PC version was slapped together like a 2 year old playing with legos. The controls arent very good for pc/mouse best get a rumble pad , anti Japanese hate shield, and flak vest for mix the wrong jobs together.

Dream of Mirrors is free , its got the Job System , did alot better than FFXI did. its got afk mining too , so no need for bots cause you are one.

Further more get ready to leave /ninja , everyone subs ninja end game. Then your white mage will be replaced by a dancer , if you lvl it (but you ll want to teletaxi cause making money is worst than a nerd trying to score at prom)

If that doesnt scare ya off , the grind will. Imagine fighting the same rabbit from lvl 1 at lvl 75. Crabs you ll have more crab run ins than Charlie Sheen.. yeah, you also will spent 8 hours average sitting in places like the dunes , Juno , and white whats its called cause you picked the wrong damn class , race combo.

It will bleed your soul , pay the 7 dollars and experience the hell that taints you like bad BO.
LOL, that's exactly the reason why over two million people play it!

    5000 WoW
    2000 L2

    So just believe it..
Yeah, that's if you're actually able to crack everything the PlayOnline client does from keeping private servers from happening.

    Basically: No POL, no FFXI.

And even then if you're able to crack it and completely bypass the POL client, you'll still have to emulate FFXI which would screw the game royally, equaling maybe 300 people online at peak times if you're lucky.

So no, no FFXI private servers.

And don't even wish the game dies.

    ...

I laughed at the irony of this.

    A P2P private server.

    Ha. Ha. Ha.

I hope they all get a cease and desist letter from SE.

Doesn't that just defeat the purpose of a private server?

    Right.

Please play the game before you come to any of these absurd conclusions ever again. Just because World of Warcrap rules the market does not mean everything is dead.

Hyarume do you know it's impossible to make a pserver for FFXI? Answer these simple question and after that i believe you

    1) What emulator would've they have used then. When there none out for even the simple basics of the game.

    2) Did you know that the WoW and lineage server shit is less complicated then the FFXI server selection?

    3) Evrything is on like to many to count Square-enix computers so how would you think they an create even a private server for this game?

btw, Evry private server is created through Emulators >.> No emulator No private server.

well that was a damn fun read.

"There is a FFXI Pserver, I read it on the internets so it so it must be true!" is what I've gatherd from most of that
Even if there is one, SE are still getting pay from it thanks to pol, may aswell play an official server if thats the case eh?

And on the note of it been empty, players I see running past in newb areas isnt even that bad, I spot a new group of 3 or so running past every 5-10 mins, though it would be good to have more players its preferable to 100's running past and killing everything I'm after.

Thats why I sad its preferable as it is right now, rather than having the game like that... would make it damn hard to get any where, but for a completely opisite reason as to why some people find it hard now.
