Anarchy Online- Goes free, also in whole 2008!

So i was on a mmorpg-chase and i just turned over at the AO-homepage...

I saw this message at the frontpage:

Free Anarchy Online Continues In 2008

We’re happy to announce that due to the steady growth and outstanding contribution of our free players to the community, we’re extending the free play program for another year.


We’ll also continue supporting the froob players with improved content and some nice treats throughout the year, and we’d like to thank you all for making this program a resounding success.

So i was like... why not give it a try... ive heard the community is nice and the game is nice over-all, with a lot of content...

So dont ask me about info, i really dont know anything about the game, but im gonna study a bit about it....

Well... one week old or something like that... they said it only would be free till mid-January... so its kinda ''new'' news X)... what u heard is probly that it was free till 2008, mid-january...

Yeah since 2004, i believe too... but they said they would go P2P, and i believe there was a level lemitation for those playing free, and that the free period would end ( definitive) in mid-January 2008...

i catually think there will be a lot of people willing to pay... There have been a lot of expansions, which means that the company is willing to update a lot...

If they upgrade the gfx and interface, u might have a game better than EVE, as u can both walk and fly... which probly also is coming with the next expansion of EVE...

I dont think that a mmorpg with such big content sucks...

hella... im not going to talk much before i actualy try the game, hopefuly the community is nice...

This game was not bad at all it caught and kept my attetion for quite sometime. It gives you the actual feel of playing a P2P MMORPG when infact its free. They don't lock/erase your characters unless you try the Expansions they added to the free package if you play it regularly you can have your charcters forever or until they say its no longer free.

As a Review toward this game.

Kinda Grindy but the Grind is a fun Grind.
Quest are Funny sometimes and Fun.
People are willing to help you if you need it.
The graphics are a little old but hell this game still beats alot of HIGH graphic demand MMO's.
The game in Genral is fun and I gaurentee if you play it and Actually get the hang of it after a week you'll thank me for telling you about it, Its a great way for the people here waiting for new games to come out to waiste time a MMO that is worth it.

Why the heck don't they just make it perminantly F2P?

It boggles the mind.

And uh, well, I played AO for about three months. It was a great MMORPG, but I don't like Sci-Fi all that well, and the music gave me the feeling that the game was going to be one of those The Exorcist flash screens when psycho-lady jumps out of nowhere and makes you Charly Brown your shorts.
