Oh how I wish my laptop could support it, or I would be. Seems like probably the best P2P game out right now.

EQ2,being better than WoW,falls on its same mistakes: its mainly a PvE game
i dislike that games, where PvP seems to have been forced to fit,but make no sense or deepth.
We must go forward, not backward. Upward, not forward. And always twirling, twirling, twirling towards freedom!

    Currently Playing:
    - Guild Wars 2

    Waiting for:
    - Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade

It's my graphics card in it. I have it in my dorm for "college work" (doesn't happen).

It has a shitty Intel Chipset that makes it near impossible to run Everquest 2 even on the lowest settings. I have 2GB of RAM 1.66GHz.

It just consistently graphic lags. I could try and install a new card in it, but it breaks warranty and seems risky from what I've read. I'm also not moving a desktop into where I live at the moment.

I've played it when it first released, but it wasn't my kind of game. Has it changed a lot?

That's what I'd expect from a PVP standpoint. I'm not that big into PVP, I'll get my fix with WAR . PVE is what I've always loved, raiding the the like has always been my huge love in MMOs. Probably comes from starting in Everquest... 72 people raids were a lot of fun to me. *remembers all nighters clearing Vex Thal*

Raids are fun until the point where it becomes a job.

I'll take raiding as a job over grinding as a job anyday. Everquest 2 while it was grindy by todays standards... was extremely fun with grouping being an integral part of it.

I've owned a copy of it for I don't know how many years, like 3-4, but at the time my computer couldn't run it, then when I upgraded, my account had some problems so I said screw it, and now I'm just too much of a bum and need to prioritize other crap.

The Rise of Kunark expansion fixed alot of the pvp that was lackluster.
    its apparently amazing now.
i havent gotten high enough to try it yet. but i've been hearing nothing but good things about it.

its not really like that anymore blotted.
its basically taken what it was before and made into almost 2 games.

you can go purely solo and do alot of solo quests or you can do the group based quests.

they are almost two different tiers now of quests to take where it will cross into eachother at certain points along the quest path (ex: AQ's will cross between group based and party based and you get bad ass gear that was designed to be specifically unique to your class (i still love the shit out of my swashbucklers epic armor =D).

    yea you can.

as long as its not part of a motherlode (sp?)

even if its not you just have to be careful because it will require soldering.

i've seen a lot of threads (in another forum) about laptops, theres was never a proof that laptops can change their video cards. (ill double check, maybe im wrong)

I've actually watched a video of my exact one being changed. It didn't look like a safe thing to do, and it warned that it was not and would completely break the warranty on my laptop.

custom built ones you can because they are inserted into the slot just like regular.

if its a motherlode you have to resolder the joints.
