who is your favorite Guitarist ?

Without doubt, my favourite guitarist is John Frusciante. He may not be the most technical, nor the fastest, but he sure can play with emotion. Close up is Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mark Knopfler and John Pettruci.

This is the best video I can find which focuses on him. The only other video was him explaining the creation of Dani California, and its 20mins long lol.


Nice, improvised solo, which still retains the Dani California sound. I think he made a mistake or two in there, but thats what you get for on the spot improvisation

well,pretty much yeah , FF is better known for the type of music than for the complexity of it.
he had a few better songs,but not way harder.

still this thread is about my fav guitarist,not the most virtuoso. in that case malmsteen would win hands down
