Other than that one penny arcade comic (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/02/25), I'd never heard anything about this movie at all.

Also, I don't think there are many games less suited to being made into a film than Dungeon Siege.

That's because a trailer was placed onto the Internet 1.5 years ago and it was taken down the next day sue to the horrible comments left. They dropped their released date and redid a lot of it.

Now, the movie's not as bad as some of his other films, but it is still pretty corny. The odd thing was, the auditorium my theater had it in pretty much kept the thing sold a 3/4ths capacity; although, it was in a meagerly 102 seat house.

Now, as a projectionist, I can tell you of some more common annoyances. The major of which is they spent too little time on the development of the movies backup analog soundtrack (aka Stereo). Many theaters still use Sony's outdated SDDS surround sound processors, which is ok and all except considering where the soundtrack is printed on the film has the bad tendancy to get striped off by the projectors. My theater was running the movie in horrible Stereo sound the first day, and it sounded like they just through all of the surround tracks into the left right track with out bothering to properly level the sound (a common problem with many publishers)

    Good info:
--The enviornment and scenery is highly detailed, most of which accurately mimics the buildings, weapons, and armor in the game. The houses of the heroes home village should be the most notable if you played the game.

Anyway, only see the film for fun, cause that's all Uwe Boll makes, fun films. Remember, not all films are expected to be big hits or top sellers, just to provide a little bit of happiness to your life. Most people mistake this and expect too much from and are too serious with films these days.

    Take note:
Postal next month, while will be extremely corny, should provide an "interesting" experience. In short, I want to see the terrorists in the van . . . blowing their own roof off with AK's.

This guy sure doesn't. His history of directing is terrible...
