Default Gradual Degeneration of Experience Points in MMO's

I noticed that a lot of MMO's use a system in which the amount of exp you get either stays constant or decreases as you level up when you kill the same monster. I was wondering if people thought this was a good or bad idea.

Ex. In Maple Story killing a green slime will always give you 10 exp.
In Dragon Gem eventually killing a low leveled monster will not give you any exp at all (in some games like ROSE the drop rate for items decreases as well)

I understand the various reasons for the systems, i'm just wondering what people think and why

    Post your thoughts.

It's sometimes good but the best part is that the higher level people won't take all of the monster's that other people need.
So everybody can train by themselves without a super high level AoE'ing all the mobs and the weaker players having nothing to do about it.

Usually its better to decrease the experience from monsters as you lvl up well the lower lvl monsters. But regardless it just depends on if the game is good or not

I say it should always stay the same, but that's just me. Of course, decreasing the experience to the point it perishes is quite a good idea, since it prevents KSing from higher levels hence establishing fixed training zones without disturbance.
