Default Downfall Of Games (Post ur opinions)

Well yo idk where this would go cause i dont really be on this site like that.....but i'm beginning to feel that the world of online rpgs is coming to an end. I mean long ago you had at least 6 different games to chose from.....now there is no choice.....hopefully mabinogi will revive the mmorpg world or at least the next gen games that are being developed. I know these forum,s used to be flooded with comments, topics, threads, it actually felt like a real gaming community.....now its a flame fest (by the way flame me if u please cuz i dont care what anybody says on a forum) i'm just saying we need to take the mmorpg world back..........

Putting all GREAT MMORPGs that aren't new (and since I'm not profressing FFXI and Mabinogi were made yesterday), we need a serious revolution. And I'm talking about French Revolution style.

We need to put aside the cookie-cutter MMORPGs and finally say enough is enough. People are not going to play these horrible games any longer, free to play or not. I mean heck, who wants to play a game that has been rehashed throughout the years by the means of just pinching its styles of game play then giving it a completely different title every, oh, let's say six years? It's getting absolutely tiresome.

So you're saying that all of the better games by wealthier companies are going to start destroying the lesser games, and eventually destroy each other in a mad power struggle?

    SWEET!

And the US' oncoming recession isn't going to help very much either.

The players are tired of the cookie cutter games that the industry is farting out of their ass, therefore the industry suffers a downfall of money and the production of games with a 0.001% potential of being good is halted.
    Gotta love economics.

I've played a number of MMOs and only two have caught my interest for awhile.

    Maple Story, and Granada Espada.

Why? They brought something different to the table.

Maple Story brought a 2D, (semi)fun, and cute MMORPG.

Granada Espada brought the "team" element. You get 3 characters, and you play all of them at once. The only downside is that people can just leave their characters in a spot, and the characters will kill automatically.

To me, those are the only games that aren't 'cookie cutters'.

I almost have given up on all P.C gaming...

Starcraft is getting old, Gunz is full of hackers, stopped playing SRO so much, got tired of Maple Story out of nowhere, Warrock sucked after beta, I played all of the FPSs (I could run), theres little RPGs, theres no fighting games, or atleast from what I know..Racing games pretty much suck with keyboard controls, which make you buy a steering wheel, a waste of money. Sports games definitely feel better on a console.

    Prove me wrong, P.C gamers.

I don't think that's true. It's just as bad as moving around with arrow keys or WASD in a regular MMORPG. Try drift city, the movement and racing in that game is pretty smooth/intense.

Also... have any of you oldies realized that ever since WoW was released, the gaming community has slowly fallen into a pit of stupidity. I swear it has a relation with WoW.

If your tired of today's games you obviously are playing the wrong ones. If you still are tired then go back living in the 1980s you jerk.
