About number of diablo's fans ... You can't count them, so far I think Starcraft has much more. Starcraft was, is and will be the best RTS avaible on the market (as soon as starcraft 2 will be avaible).
If Blizz will agree to make a Starcraft MMO , I hope they won't fail it as they have failed WoW ... =/
