    Default Need advice.

Seriously I know I'm not old enough to be working or anything but I need money. My dad doesn't spoil me with everything and I rather raise this money myself then beg him.

I need 600$ for a bike. Right now I have 70$ only. I could test my luck and ask my mom to play keno or something which worked before. I once got 200$ with 10$ from keno when I was like 10.

So any advice is welcome here. I'm 14 btw. I need the bike because someone stole my other fit bike which cost me like 1000$.

Try finding trustworthy websites that work in referrals. That's how most get spare change.

The actual thing you have to do is to think. Is it worth it? Assuming that your below age 16 to be legally a worker, you just want to buy that specific bike because you want to feel special. In fact, people buy expensive bicycles because they use it for long travels or professional use. If your riding a bicycle to go to school everyday and to sme place from time to time, you basically do not need such a pricy bike.

As Deimos said, we need more info. If you're 16, you can legally work part-time, which can get you some money. Or if you're in good shape, find a construction worker and ask if they need any help, they pay cash under the table for odd-jobs. (usually to clean up stuff) Be careful though, my friend almost got arrested for doing that...(it's a tax dodge if you get payed under the table) But this time of year probably isn't the best for construction. (assuming you live in the US at least)

But I do agree with Icy, if this bike isn't for any actual purpose than to just have fun or show off, then save yourself some time and get a cheaper one. You don't always have to get everything expensive.

EDIT: Welcome to OnRPG, Legoz! ^_^

though i dunno the rules the place you live OP. i would assume that if you are between 14-16 you are able to work at least with newspapers. its a pain in the ass for your back, but nonetheless its money.

but remember not to forget your studys, those will make you big money when you grow older... and then you will thank me, remember that...

Well..you're aiming high..that's good...but going even to become "regional" champ is not that easy. It takes months of training...not mentiioning regional is like 1/100 of international or the pro world...

It isn't all about the money anyway. I enjoy doing it and thats all that matters.

But hey, if you love doing it, and you have the skill, then go ahead! Just be sure to have something to fall back on, because if the biking thing doesn't work out, then you're screwed. Again, like me, I love the drums, play 'em everyday basically, but I'm hardly good enough to go anywhere with the skill I have.

I'll have school and my bike. If I don't get somewhere with my bike then I can get somewhere with school.

Well really, my point was that you shouldn't devote your life to biking when you have so many other options just lying at your feet. Keep it as a hobby, and if you happen to get noticed then go for it.

EDIT: You're just like me, Darc. I'm good at math, I'm just horrible at understanding the concept of Algebra. But I love Science, English and Writing...
If you're looking for a science related field that doesn't require much math, then go for Medical Science or Biology. There's going to be math involve, of course, but it's probably less than Physics or Chemistry. :P Future BioChemist right here! :3

Anyway can we stop talking about life and how biking won't always take me somewhere. I don't expect anything from biking but fun.

So now can we continue with the money advice. Does anyone know some good paying sites that pay to do surveys and adds?

The best way is to get a job. There are no "free money". Don't even rely on those survey things.

you want quick money: prostitution ( muslim countries arent included, they are not so pervert'ish as western countries, Switzerland excluded ( if you go for Switzerland, then at least pretend gay'ish)

you could also clean up on your room every fifth minute, just throw around with stuff on purpose, believe me you will have 600$ in no time...

the rational way: handle out ads, work in local supermarket, ask old ladies to help them over the road and take their stuff from them ( not litteraly taking their stuff, but helping them)
