Favorite asian country?
I'm waiting for my Thai Visa to come any day now and will be staying their for a good 6 months, but what i want to know is peoples opinions on other asian countrys as i want to try visit Japan or Korea or maybe even China later on...Would be grateful if anyone could give me some opinions on these other countrys cuz i dont know much about em outside the whole gaming ring.

Maybe Japan for cool games and stuff(animes and mangas),korean for more cool games and stuff(korean food),china maybe for some games and some cool places to visit(i never visit any of these countries before but i know abit about them lol.

I love Japan, great country as whole, everything from traditional Japan to the new age is simply amazing. My sister I know loves China, she is majoring in Asian international studies with a secondary in Chinese (shes learning Chinese for 4 yrs)

Wow lots of Singapore fans (guessing alot of you are from their lol) tbh i never have really thought about Singapore but i might look in to it now, sounds good and dont think its to far from thailand is it? I'm from England so anywhere in Asia is gonna be great to me anyway ;p

Singapore has builts it's economy on the idea of tourists at least its capital. It is one of the best places to go for food and stores in the world. So it only makes since.

yeah singapores nice, live here and the only thing keeping me here is the food my god i love the food. I can go a whole day, and just binge. Cause its that ****in good. Also it aint like those shite countries around south east asia, with a modern infrastructure and quality government its great.

Japan, not so original but that's still the country I like the best.
Whilst Singapore could be an interesting country there are some downsides. First of all it's more like a huge self-governing city than a country. Secondly I have not really heard of any "Singaporean" culture, I guess that's because people come from all over the place and different cultures are mixed. That could truly be a good thing though.
Third, and most important, is that I've heard of some Singaporean laws that don't fit a modern country.

Thats also because people don't go to Singapore to see its culture, for that they would go to China, Vietnam, or Japan. People go to Singapore for the purpose to shop and invest. Singapore is still considered a third world country as well, how ever like China is on the brink of becoming a first world country.

I like Taiwan which is still part of China now...or maybe Hongkong and Singapore...
But if it's for living, I choose Singapore, because their people can speak english well

Say that to those living in Taiwan and most of them would slap u LOL.
While it may be true that Singapore has made a significant change in the past 30 years. It still has a bit of a way to go before being an official First World City. One of the major reasons is the idea of an economy, yes it does have a great economy but it is currently based on one thing, tourists. They are it is a global city it is still not an official first world nation. (Weird the way i say that, but it is city state).
