Go to your sounds-settings.
Open up the advanced planel, that shows volume-settings.
Go to options and than to properties.
Select playback and check the box next to microphone.
Than go back to all the volume-controlls.
If the box beneath the controll-slider for the microphone, which should be labeld sound off, is checked, uncheck it.
