Doesn't matter what you make. Eventually, you'll want to get transcender in both sword and magic no matter what class you are. FBs and FSs both suffer aswell as benefit from having to raise both. They suffer because usually, they'll rank up slower, so a Warrior or a Blader might reach apprentice like at lvl 13, a FB might get their at lvl 15, but at 16 or 17, the FB will be dual apprentice, and the Warrior/Blader will be apprentice/novice. So FB will take longer to reach its potential, but its easier to rank up both sword and magic at the same time, unlike a warrior or blader who have very weak magics, and will find it annoying to grind them up, specially when they have no magic skills to look forward to. Also, being ranked in both sword and magic helps a lot in terms of stats. I faced a blader at my lvl, who was regular sword, and probably novice magic, and i was regular/regular. I killed him in 5 hits, and he took like 1/10th of my total hp.
