You just gotta be good with your tech skills, to be honest if you're not the best I'd say Peach because she's the hardest character in the game to knock out. I've been in tournaments where it takes atleast 200%+ to knock her out unless you're using someone like Ganon.

Okay, if you can't do this, you suck.
Therefore, you must learn how to do it.
SHFFL.
It is an acronym for:
Short Hop, Fast Fall, L Cancel.
You can do any aerial maneuver before you fastfall.

Yeah, it will take one hell of a long time before you can even do it once. But still, you have to learn it anyway.
Only then will you have a higher chance of beating your friend's Link.

I always play as Link, and the only characters other people seem to be able to beat me with are Kirby (can fly, quite fast, lots of ways to go to a really cheap win), Fox (fastest character in the game), and Link (slow, but probably one of the most powerful and most versatile characters).
