Turbine is debating on making a lifetime offer for DDO. As for LoTR, when the game was in OB the lifetime mebership was $200 US dollars (Founder's Special offer). Now its $300 US dollar.

I personally think its a very good game. Immersive storyline (the only one I have found), great community (you find less spammers, trollers, and juvenile actions within their community), great support (responsive within 2 hours), and great graphics.

With the new update, they added a lot of new things the players asked for. I liked the player housing and trophies you can add to your home from a previous update.

As for DDO and the lifetime fee debate, they may offer anywhere from $200 to $300 US dollars for it. I think a lifetime offer is worth it since their fees are......

Purchase a three month subscription for a one-time fee of $41.85 (equivalent to $13.95 per month).
Purchase a six month subscription for a one-time fee of $77.70 (equivalent to 12.95 per month).
Purchase a one year subscription for a one-time fee of $143.40 (equivalent to $11.95 per month).
Besides, I hate monthly fees. You purchase an expansion for $50 to $60 dollars, your actually paying $65 to $75 because of the monthly fees. I hate double paying.

I bought 2 lifetime subs , my oldest brother and his wife, the job market where they are at , is unstable so no monthly fees is boon.

They also got a ring + cloak , some other items from the collector disc , I got them. It works because LOTR is build more rapidly than WoW and life time pass is cheaper than say 6 months of the station pass.

The only thing I wish is I had gotten a lifetime sub for myself or someone else in the family. I m really surprised that Turbine has made LOTR better and better, (only other dealing with them was AC2)

The cut scenes rival or exceed any Final Fantasy game.

well that DDO offer seems very nice. especially since they are updating it, like was it a new game. i must say that if its going to be between 200-300$ then its kinda too ''cheap'', none the less its actualy the same as LOTRO, which is also updated a lot.
