I think it's something worth exploring. When I think of Chinese medicine, I think of it being no more different to a pharmaceutical equivalent, minus the side-effects. Besides, what makes it all the more worth giving a shot, is it's history of being around for thousands of years, it's something not easily to write off as nonsense, in my opinion.

Would you rather hear:

"Take this drug, it'll relieve your migraine, but you may lose your appetite, get drowsy, and experience nausea, and/or diarrhea. Enjoy."

Or:

"Take this [Chinese Medicine] to relieve your migraine. Enjoy."
No. Thats pretty stupid. It would be more like.

"Take this drug, have two a day, it will relieve your migraine, side effects: Drowsy."



Now the Chinese, "Take this mashed up leaf, rub it on stomache and recite poem, then stroke lucky cricket and hop on one foot. Side effects inculde Death."
