i started playing on the gamecube then on PC.

Lol, a privat server can never be 100% legit, heck they even say it in a sticky on the forum.

This server is still illegal and to some extend counts as piracy.

The date of that post was back in March 2007. PSO:BB is shutting down in March 2008 and, as stated in SEGA's policy, when a PSO version is declared to be pulled offline, a private server can be made.

Schthack's servers were coded from the ground up, and SEGA has given them the nod to continue. You can get your character data copied from the original to there.
