    The longest-ever recorded and confirmed sniper kill at 2,430 metres (1.509 miles) using a .50 caliber, by a Canadian solider in Afghanistan.

    Simo Häyhä 'Valkoinen Kuolema' (the White Death) is the most successful sniper in history. With a confirmed 542 soviet soldiers averaging around 5 per day.

    i guess it's not something to be overly joyed about, considering someone died. but..
