Default Is it hard to learn guitar?

Well, two days ago, my neighbor came up with the idea of playing j-rock songs, which I liked, and he taught me 3 of the basic keys, (G, A, D) I'm just wondering how the hell guitarists get so fast at this shit, it takes me like.. 10 seconds to get my fingers on a key.

Its not hard; To play songs, just practice.

Improvising, composing, that can be tricky, but just playing songs needs nothing, but some dood you can ask the finger-sets for the cords (or you can even research those) and loads of time and patience.

I have time, its just that it was so hard to even set up my fingers on the frets, my hands are small ._.

And I don't have that legendary catalyst or whatever you need on your finger

That catalyst will need a couple of months worth convincing to show up.
Also, there are guitars that have smaller or bigger boards (electric especially).
You can also use the thumb, for the E-string:

There is a video where he explains that he does that too (can't find it atm), but you can clearly see him using the thumb.

You will get used to playing guitar a lot faster over time. When I first started (5/6 yrs ago?) I was like you. Now I can play most songs, just keep trying you can get it!!

Well if you want to teach yourself it will take awhile, but get a good teacher and eventually it will get easier and you'll be able to compose your own music xD I'm practising the guitar for like 6 years now and instart I didn't have the ritme, but you will get it over the time you play.

btw, Don't be liek my younger step sister and wanting to play guitar to be cool >.> For girls I can understand, but just think you're cool with it is so wrong...
