Default Any fun story driven/lots of depth MMO's out there?

Anyone have any suggestions? P2P is fine as well I guess. Just really want to find a game with a lot of depth.

    At least decent graphics.

Most F2P I've played seem to have little to no depth, so I'm hoping maybe you guys can throw out some good names to try.

Quest driver would be nice too.

I'm currently playing a F2P game called Holic Online. It has a pretty decent quest system and a little
depth if you can get past the bad translations as it's currently in Open Beta.

If you're looking for a P2P game with lots of depth then look in to World Of Warcraft.
Most P2P games are good about having some depth though so just browse around.

EDIT: Another game that comes to mind that will have lots of depth is Age Of Conan.
It will be released in the next few months.

Have got to agree on WoW there actually (Even tho i aint to found of that game anymore - feels "to easy")

Anarchy Online isnt so bad when it comes to story and background and all that. Not SO much based on quests tho - other then that is sort of a nice game. Sci-Fi and has one of the more complex char developing i seen.
Older game tho - but its not that bad - i still play it actually and like it!

I should have mentioned I played WoW for years and hate it with a passion now. I feel brainless just looking at the login screen...

WoW does not even have a decent flowing sotryline from beginning to end. Its all a bunch of small ones that make up a handfull of quests. More like a "pulp fiction" than an full story.

Guild Wars: Nightfall, Prophecies, and Eyes of The North have great storylines. Prophecies flows very well into Eyes.

The most immersive story I have encountered would be Lord of The Rings. You feel like your part of the actual trilogy while not actual being involved the the stories. You get involved with stories that fill in the background of the trilogy and you also intersect many key points that would relate to the trilogy.

Another thing that makes LoTR the most immersive stroyline is the fact that the PvP is 100% seperate from the actual story and quests. It still has PvP, but you would have to reach a high level and travel to a region that is seperate from the real lore.

The enviroment, the NPCs, and the graphics are fully involved with the immersion into the game.

GuildWars does indeed a good job with the story (and pretty much everything else).

I'd agree with LOTRO if I had played a ***** much, but from what I've played, it did a great job throwing players in the LOTR universe.

I take it other than GW (which I played for a while) there's no good F2P games with depth?

I'd argue till death Mabinogi has an hell load of depth (especially for a free MMO). Unfortunately, I don't believe it is out yet (open-beta should be soon, however). So, right now... I'd say no as well:P

Well, I'm not only looking at the story when I say Mabinogi has lots of depth:P

    The gameplay definitely stands.

never said it had a large population =P... in fact it is pretty empty. It's actually kind of nice, I can't really explain it. You have to experience it for youself.
