Ok who plays LOTR

Well I finally dropped WoW the other day it was getting stale. So I go what to play, what to play, what to play .. So I go, tried EQ2 its playable and alot better than wow, but I don't like the closed end trial.

So I remember LOTR having a trial and go .. ok So I heard good things from it around and the internet radio station I dj for .. Said it sucks .. I was kind worried about it. I downloaded it and got it faster than I though (300-400kps and the client I grabbed was the 4gig one) So I got my account sat up and plunged in. I mucked about first with a lore master and went .. naa not my cup of tea really since theres, then I tried a champion .. Dps, taking two-three mobs at once. Was fun, but I wanted to see what eles is out there. I go for an ranger and much about with it and went .. Hm.. naa.. Then I grabbed the humans captain and fell in love with it. So I mucked about .. Went wow some of this quests are really though out.


So .. after ALL THIS ... lol who plays?

I play on Brandywine, not sure on the name yet since I'm getting a founders referral and have to start over.

No, if you get a founder's referral, you get better pricing, and therefore you need to start another trial account on the same Turbine account management.

to clarify - when you get a founder's referral, you will be sent a new trial code -- and when you apply the cd key to the founders referral trial code you will get the special pricing of a founder.

i played it for awhile but went back to eq2.

it is really fun.. but eq2 just captures me too much.

theres sooo much content.

i think if you had gone to kunark you wouldnt of been limited as much. or the fae trial as well.

Aww...So if I get a founder's referral and decide to play on the same server I won't be able to make a weaver with the same name she has now? =/

I played it on my trial days and played for 3 days. But just left it in between.

Basically.. are you playing the trial right now? If so, I'd just play it just to explore and get a feel of the game. If you want to reuse that character name with the founder's referral, you'd have to delete your character.

Sorry you didn't know that, I found out midway so I basically enjoyed that trial to test out everything. When I got the referral I made my real character and am having a blast, haven't had so much fun since my WoW days.

The community is definitely real classy, everybody is there to help.
