not a bad concept though
a broswer based MMOFPS
Ok, let's get this out of the way first.
Fallen Empire is only started from the browser. It runs from an exe on your hard drive, which you must download etc. And this is the spirtual successor to Tribes. It is being made by the same team who made (most of them anyway) Tribes 1.
The other games Instantaction offers, such as Marble Blast Online and Think Tanks are true browser based games, and run from within that browser space itself. And are very impressive.
Currently however, Instantaction only has MBO and Think Tanks (along with two other games). Fallen Empire is NOT yet available to the private beta testers.
As I am in the beta now, I believe I can invite people to it. I'm not sure however if those I invite get RIGHT into the beta, or have to wait.
There's no way you can run that game in a browser. Launched from a browser? Yes. Played in a browser? No.
proof that FPS games can be browser based.

and i didn't care for tribes so skip for me.
Because sometimes, believe it or not - information about a new game is just as good as the game itself. You may not think so, but many others here want and crave information on new games. Whether they are released or not.
You can't compare Phosphor to Fallen Empire. Phosphor is a Macromedia Director created game, while Fallen Empire is a game that uses a true 3D engine. I'm not saying Phosphor isn't impressive, because it is fairly impressive. But Fallen Empire is a much bigger (both in size and feature set) game in many regards.
And just because this is the spiritual successor to Tribes, well who knows, you may enjoy the game.
