so far i like it better then 2moons.
hard to fully judge the game yet tho. graphics wise its VERY detail and the whole atmosphere of the game with wicked "also note that alot of the graphics options you can't enable yet, so its only gonna get better"

gameplaywise. well to me its a hybrid of L2 and WoW. wasd which is good. from the looks of it alot of skills for each class. the DNA system seems like a more lower'd down version of talents in WoW, "as in you can pretty much get all the skills but but talents make some powerfuller n so on, thus in this game its the DNA"

so yeah thats what ive seen so far.. seems good. can't wait for more stuff to be implemented.

thing i like about the requiem
1. decent graphics ( one of the top currently probably )
2. imo not very grindy, took me a few hours to get to level 10 but hey the max level is 60
3. item system is kinda nice, items have random stats
4. some unique features like nightmare monsters, transformation and DNA
5. gore and horror theme ( if you enjoy it )

things i dont like
1. limited customization
2. the race system virtually doesnt exist course you have to be a certain race to be a certain class
3. imo the game is kinda slow e.g. you spend a lot of time running from place to place
4. generic quests

first off, the game looks great. the characters are all amazingly designed and refreshingly original. you're not going to see these monsters anywhere else. the worlds are detailed and beautiful. the blood is plentiful.

but where the game truly excels is in the little details. the things that are easy to overlook: how everything in the game (including yourself) gets bloodier as you lose HP. how everything flaps around like a dead fish when it dies. how there isn't a "loading" bar, it's stitches being ripped out of skin. how the npcs chat in the chat box. how when you enter a tent it switches to first person view, etc.

but it doesn't matter how pretty a game is if it's not fun to play and as far as the game play goes, it's a little lackluster. nothing groundbreaking here it's comparable to other games (2moons(dekaron) immediately comes to mind.)

but what i don't understand is the appeal of such a dark game. for me playing a mmo is a nice way to relieve stress and have fun. i can't really see myself playing in such an evil, dreary, bloody game all the time. isn't that.. depressing?

i mean, yeah it's nice to have resident evil in your game library, but it's not a game you play every single day.

yeah it's nice to have halloween, but you don't celebrate it every holiday.

the same is for me when it comes to requiem i think.

it'll be a nice little escape every once in a while when i'm in an evil mood i guess?

i think it would be nice for a game to take what requiem does, and apply it during the nighttime. kind of like the fields in zelda: ocarina of time. how at night it's evil and scary and during the day it's bright and cheery.

otherwise i see the game getting forbidding and gloomy. i'd rather play a game that is normal most of the time and can take me to a world like requiem's when i enter a dungeon, like cabal or 2moons, etc.

now i realize i've only played the game for an day or two. but i don't think my opinion will change much. i wish the game well, and for those gothy type people who like to listen to marilyn manson all the time and **** themselves when halloween comes around, then hell, this is definitely for sure the game for you.

Everquest 2. I am in love with the crafting system but the game's ambiguity with regards to mechanics, quests, abilities and customization, also the lack of fast travel makes me want to hurl my computer out the window.
