    Default Korean or Japanese?

I want to learn korean and/or japanese so I can play import games and watch anime without subtitles. Yes...those are my motives.....So which one do you think I should learn? Are they similar with what will I be able to do more with?

Korean for gaming, japanese for anime. It's up to you if which one you like more.

Korean is for gaming, since alot of RPG's and MMO's are korean, you'll have better luck.

Japanese is mostly for cartoons and anime.

    What they said.

Also, I suppose you would have an easier time with whatever you may have been exposed to more frequently, which in my case was Japanese. Also, Kanji plays well with parts of my memory, ssoo bonus!

Korean for online games, And Japanese for everything else. In most cases i noticed that Korean Rule Online development of games and Japanese consoles.
    Overall Japanese is better.

    Korean: Games/girls
    Japanese: Games/Anime/Manga/Girls/Hentai/Doujinshi

Tell you the truth, I don't see Korean games getting popularity in the future, so importing their games wouldn't be the best main career path, but as long as it's a foreign language it will get you in college so go Japanese.

Although as a fan of anime japanese would be a good choice, but i live in Canada which has a very large korean population, and not japanese, so i think korean would be more handy.

Personally I think that if anyone is willing to dedicate themselves to learn another language, more power to them. Just remember to stay focused and disciplined.

Wrong. From my experience, Korean is a lot easier than Japanese. There are 24 Hangul characters.
