Best world language for an..

teacher/doctor/engineer, I plan on being one of those, I recently had an articulation in my middle school to see what classes I'll be taking, and I plan on taking Japanese as my world language, and I get all these ******ed friends saying that Spanish is better because were closest to Mexico

Personally, I think in the long run, since Japan has a larger and more expensive economy, getting a job in Japan would get you some money, and I don't really know what Mexico has to offer but border jumpers mowing your lawn (jk jk jk jk).

Plus the fact that Japan has more uber technology then us Americans, I see more benefit in learning Japanese, but my friends seem to only see 10 years ahead of them, I don't think I'll be staying in California when I grow up.

Seeing how intensely China is whipping the world, I'd go with Mandarin or Cantonese.

Well, even though Mandarin is nice, you could just cross it off if you know how to read Simplified.

By the way, Mexico isn't the only country that speaks spanish >_>
Chile, Spain, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, etc. Are some examples, most of them located at South America
