Default Sony refocuses Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on core racing features

According to our PSfriends at GT Planet, Sony is cutting extraneous features like “online play” and “voice chat” from GT5 Prologue in order to focus on what fans want most: delivering the most state-of-the-art, cutting-edge racing experience available on any platform. Sony even “promises” to deliver these bonus features at some unspecified date in the future. QQ more, Forza fans! The Year of PS3 continues!

Lol to all the GT fans. Personally, I don't really like the series. Then again, this could be a good thing. Game producers have been focusing on multiplayer to much.

But a racing game would get boring if you couldn't compete against other players.

Thats why theres something called buying 3 more controllers, and playing with 3 other friends.

Online multiplayer has totally destroyed any kind of multiplayer on one console. Why do that, when you can just play online, right? I actually enjoy the feeling of having your companions over, at your house, playing with you, than over the net.

Whether you are serious, or not about my 'fanboyish attitude', Haku, yes I've never played PGR and Forza on Xbox Live. I have played both of them offline, though.

I hate the Gran Turismo series, and I especially hate Forza. It's too damn realistic and confusing. Racing games are supposed to be fun, like Need For Speed and Burnout. I tried playing Forza, and most of my effort was put into just staying on the track. Everytime I turn, the car goes sliding, and I know for sure there wasn't any ice.

And don't talk like that when you're clearly an Avatar fan. Go watch a real anime. I like your fanboy attitude tho, really its nice.

Because I'm in love with the sony guys behind this blog. It's like they're reading my mind and posting what I think. Online races and voice chat is stupid. Becides, its realistic to not be able to talk to your opponents.

first of for those who say racing game this and racing game that. this isn't a racing game or racing that, it's a driving simulator. and i prefer the gran turismo series because it's JDM made by japanese people, always quality at it's finest. although forza series is good too, but i don't think a chevy/ford can compare to a honda/toyota. and yeah for the one who said PGR above, don't even compare PGR to GT or Forza. it's like comparing a rubber pizza to a real pizza. rubber pizzas are made to play with, their not realistic enough to eat them, but pizzas are real so you can eat them and you got to take your time and all and you eat real pizza more seriously because it gives you energy and you got to eat to survive. just like in a racing game like PGR where you drive around spinning those corners, not taking so seriously, yet when you drive a driving simulator car in a driving simulator, you will most likely take your time to tackle those corners with minimal chance of understeer and oversteer yet maximize your cornering speed while entering and exiting.
