    Wink Requiem: Bloodymare

Does anyone happen to know if its possible to get a beta key for the closed beta still?

if so, is it worth trying to get one?

I've heard a lot of different opinions about the game, some tell me its like WoW except for nice graphics better game play, good pvp, gore, and its free. Others thought it was to gorey and not worth checking out.

If its anything like a mix between WoW and Guild wars I'd love to check it out.

    Thanks for the Feedback

I have two major issues with Requiem right now. The first is bugs. Yes, it is beta so I can forgive that. The other is the grind. Much like Gravity's other games the grind begins at level 2 and does not let up. I cannot say much more without breaking my NDA. When the end of closed beta nears, expect a full preview from me.

you know, i made a topic concerning the grind and possible xp rate changes on the official forums. they aren't taking it lightly, in the negative sense. a Gm actually started twisted my words for it.

They claim the grind is only half as bad as it looks and that it all depends on "how you play it". But oh dear when you try to point out that there is no "other way to play it". If you play Requiem, you'll grind, since there is nothing to get your attention away from it

It's true that there isn't much to do besides generics quests, and killing monsters, but overall the grind is not THAT bad..just pay attention to the gore and it goes by faster than you would expect.

Ahh the old "ur not doin it rite". A favorite stand by of fanboys everywhere for when common sense overwhelms them.

I generally like Requiem but I also have a problem with the grind. There is no right way, from level 1 to 6 your forced to grind for around 10 to 20 mins which aint that big of a deal but then after getting to around level 17 the quests dont give enough exp to help you level and your forced to grind to level.

This goes on for all the levels afterwards which it aint as bad as games like old eq or eq2 but it's still a pain. The GMs don't want to accept that we now live in a WoW world and that quick quest leveling is the way we are now and if they don't want to accept it then let the game fade away.

I guess the grind starting in early lvls is fine since the level cap is 60.
