Anything Eminem has done post-2000 is utter shit.

Get Infinite or The Slim Shady LP, or get nothing.

Rock ftw [All types btw like alternative, punk, metal, screamo]

But srsly. I dont like rap or r&b at all. I call it black music because its mostly by black people. And im trying so hard not to sound racist, but I dont like the music most black people do :/

I like some older country stuff. Willie Nelson, if you count him, Johnny Cash...and some people consider the Grateful Dead country. I say "folk" but, whatever...

I like much more rap than country though. I'd rather shoot myself than listen to most of the country songs on the radio.

Why shouldn't it be considered music?

I'm not asking with a view to seeing if you have a logical argument, because it factually is music. I'm asking just to see if it's the same idiotic argument as most people when they say that.

If your answer is "Cos the lyrics are about bling and hoes.", save yourself the embarassment, and my time having to embarass you, and retract it. One: lyrics are lyrics, not music. Two: that's now what all hip hop is. It's as bad as saying all metal is shit because all the lyrics are about the devil.

Well i am from the south so naturally i'm good to say country. Rap is very popular among the idiot white kids that want to be "gangsta" in my area. While country is not my favorite genere of music i just happen to like it better than rap.

Me, I actually like 50 Cent. I liked him ever since he came out, and supported him all the way through. If you guys, who listen to Rap/Hip-Hop, and respect/listen to the 'Gangsta Rap' sub-category of it, you'd know 50 Cent actually had alot of good songs never released on T.V/radio. The only thing you see on T.V/radio is club, dance, or love music. 50 uses that and makes money from it. On his first two albums, excuse me for saying this but, "he had alot of gangsta ass shit on it". I admit he fell off on Curtis. I really didn't like it, other than the songs that were commercial. Kanye won that race, great album. Just recently 50 and G-Unit released two mixtapes that hit the streets. It made people think twice of 50 falling off. One mixtape was dissing Fat Joe (another rapper), and it outsold/downloaded Fat Joe's new album.

He had 21 Questions on his major label debut. Arguably the biggest piece of shit committed to CD, besides Dilemma by Nelly & Kelly Rowland and Mr. Brightside by The Killers.

He's never been that good, or good at all in my opinion. No skill, no interest from me. He's in it for the money and it shows. Yes, I have heard his mixtapes before he came out with any albums. I heard him on Power of the Dollar and he was shit then, in my opinion.

There aren't many mainstream hip hop MCs who have managed to achieve relative success with still remaining great.

Because rap isn't made with any instruments . And then the lyrics are crap so you can't call it a song neither .

    Music:
    • an artistic form of auditory communication incorporating instrumental or vocal tones in a structured and continuous manner
    • Music is an art form that involves organised sounds and silence. It is expressed in terms of pitch (which includes melody and harmony), rhythm (which includes tempo and meter), and the quality of sound (which includes timbre, articulation, dynamics, and texture).
    • The organization of sounds with some degree of rhythm, melody, and harmony.
Says nothing about instruments having to be there.
