Meh. I like how you compare your two favorite songs to the shittiest type of rap out there. GG

here are the verses for you

This morning, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed
I'm sick of people putting lies in my head
    I don't really wanna work, I'm tired
    I hate my 9 to 5
And I'm thinking bout killin my boss today
    Killin my boss today
I'm thinking bout killin my boss today
    Killin my boss today

    Yesterday my best friend died
Somebody came and took his life
Now I'm looking up at the sky
Have you ever seen a grown man cry?
And I'm asking why did you take him away?
Why did you take him away?
I'm asking why did you take him away?
Why did you take him away?

    I need some money please
I can barely make it on these streets
Cause I got a couple mouths to feed
    My baby's in dire need
So I'm thinking bout robbin a bank today
    Robbin a bank today
I'm thinking bout robbin a bank today
    Robbin a bank today

Baby mama's at home and fussin'
    Callin up my mobile cousin
Always yappin about this and that
But she really don't be talkin bout nothin
    Somebody take my pain away
    Take my pain away
    Somebody take my pain away
    Take my pain away

Somebody just broke in my ride
    Snatched up everything inside
    Even got my 45
How am I supposed to survive
When I know that my stereo's taken away
    Stereo's taken away
When I know that my stereo's taken away
    Stereo's taken away

Gas prices are way too high
Rich people are way too fly
And I'm where I wanna be in my life
But why am I so behind
Is it cause I'm wasting my time away
    Wasting my time away
Is it cause I'm wasting my time away
    Wasting my time away

    My grandmama's nerves are bad
And everybody in the hood is mad
Cause President Bush could give a DAMN about our ass
So I don't wanna hear shit that he has to say
Shit that he has to say
I don't wanna hear shit that he has to say
Shit that he has to say

Troops gone and we still at war
Nobody even really knows what for
Even more I'm scared to find what the world really has in store
Cause you know that tomorrow's not promised today
    Tomorrow's not promised today
Cause you know that tomorrow's not promised today
    Tomorrow's not promised today

He didn't say anything about Country in that post. How the hell did he stereotype?

This bull really needs a lock. I see it going into Rock versus Rap real soon, and it will be a travesty.

Cloud, it doesn't matter how old you are, kid. And the artist wants to slap somebody cause he had a bad day. Wouldn't you want to if your day was going wrong?

GH, wtf are you doing living in Canada, listening to Country music? And no, I did not stereotype it. I didn't say anything about its lyrics, or content. I just don't understand how people can enjoy that stuff unless your like 35+ years old and actually live in the country. Its proly the same thing for us city people, and Rap. Most Rap artists come from a gringy city. I like Rap cause I can relate to what they say, and it does actually have meaning to it IF you listen to the right stuff.

So please, leave that Country shit down south, we don't like that shit up here!
That's where he stereotyped it. Who says all country singers are southerns? Although some are, not all.

EDIT: Jakuza and I posted at the same time.

Well country is a really popular genre of music in my town. I know you didnt stereotype the lyrics, but you did stereotype the genre in a way.

But I have to agree with C&M here. This is going to get out of hand very shortly, a lock would be nice.

    Its ok, GH.

But I seriously want to know...WHERE THE F-CK IN CANADA DO PEOPLE ENJOY COUNTRY MUSIC?

Power_Gamer_6 and his brother are going to come to every single one of their houses and punch them in the face, including you, GH.

    Props, Norrin.

I'd prefer rap, as some of their songs are pretty good (I don't know the name of them since I don't really listen to rap much). I just don't like the way country sounds (I'm more of an alternative listener).

Very good point. Not many mainstream rappers today have decent lyrics. Oh, Tupac! Come save us!

No, not 2pac. 2pac is The Beatles of hip hop.

Decent, made some good albums, but there were/are/will be much better MCs than him.

Well to be honest, the girls here are really into it. And when they find out that a guy knows all the songs that they do, they like it. That was my original plan back in grade 9 & 10 until I started to actually like it. Ah well, it's good.

It's funny how God Hand is slamming hip hop for being all superficial and shit, but country is so meaningful...when his entire plan was to use an artform of music to get into girls' pants.

I'll sit back and let the vultures pick the rest up.
