Iv played FFXI since it came out and stopped about 6months ago. Last time I checked, to make a valid account, you DO need a credit card. It wont bill you but its required in making the account, if I remeber correctly. i dont think there is aprepaid card for FFIX, its a *****. I used to use

Also, play on Siren. and dont play Dragoon.
