Its super fun, but i hate playing against lvl100+ when im in my mage suit...
Also, it was not meant to substitute the old wildy, wildy is gone, it was unfair, and it was nooby (ZOMG ICE BARRAGE + DDS SPEC 2X KO), the game is more fair now, and now stupid noob pures cant make money because they cant kill, that proves theyr even more nooby.

Do the item dropping penalties affect Guthix?

They could have both normal wilderness and these minigames.
I dont see much problems on having both.
Expect for that stupid arena or whatsoever in middle of lower wilderness.

if i remember correctly the only reason that those were the empty mines is cos all the noobs were to wimpy to go anywhere near them or were just oblivious to there existance because they didn't dare hang about in the wildy for to long.
Jagex have just mangaed to put the old dog down by removing wildy... The final nail in the coffin so to speak.
