Always wanted to play Auto Assault. I'm sad that I missed it.

And, heh, you flatter me. It's my first post!

Yeah, it's pretty abnormal to see a first post like that.

Another game I miss is the OLD old old Ultima community, now everyone's in the retro version, and the old Lineage is pretty much full of bots.

I feel a little lost, as the only one of those I recognize by name is Graal (A game I remember having and absolute hell of a time trying to figure out, specifically, whether or not it was free). Sadly, I can't help you with your other ones either.

This is a cool opening post, though. I just might sticky it if it doesn't die.

Thanks. And I know, Graal was so confusing, wasn't it? They keep telling you you can play for free and you can even download it and get into the game as a guest... And only THEN do you find out you have to play in order to actually DO anything. Their system has always been similar to that. But, I'll try to restrain myself from sharing my "opinion" of the Graal head developer and team...

Sounds neat. I've always been a big fan of the idea of MMOFPSes. Unfortunately, most are either not an actual MMO (Gunz, Manga Fighter, WolfTeam), or are pay to play and weren't very well received (Planetside). Still, it's a great idea. 10six was kind of like that.

I guess I'll reminisce about Ragnarok Online. The first mmorpg is always the sweetest I suppose. I started playing the game in Alpha testing and it was completely bare. No skills for classes meant that every class was basically the same aside from the clothes they wear. There were only two towns: prontera and morroc. It was so simple yet still fun. At that time, leveling didn't even matter. I'd login just to be apart of that online world. I wouldn't seek to kill monsters, I'd just explore and dive deeper into the world, seeking to delve into every last part of that world. And for fun, Everyone would just work together to clear out monsters of dungeons because even if exp didn't share, people just wanted to play around.

Oh man, I wasn't in that early of a RO Alpha. Sounds like a lot of fun. It's really great when a game isn't finished, but the players don't care and will band together to make it the best they can, huh? Ahhh... The good old days.

This, maybe? Looks neat, but I can't tell if it's a remake project or what...

If I remember right, it went under because of financial issues or something, and now their revamping it. I don't know much more then that, sadly. I liked the game, but it had an impossible learning curve - i.e. threw you into the world with no idea whatsoever to do next.

I'm guessing 3 of the games you played, but can't remember the names of are Meridian 59, Dransik, and Shadows of Yeserbius.

All of which I played when they first came out. Yes, I am that old.

Heard of Meridian 59, but nope, that wasn't one of 'em.

Never heard of Dransik, and after checking the site... Nope, that wasn't one.

Shadows of Yeserbius doesn't sound familiar. I was checking it out with Google, but from the description does NOT sound like anything I've ever played. Either way, it doesn't exist anymore and I can't find any screenshots and hardly any info...

    Still, thanks for trying!

Wow, people still play NWN? I may have to dig out my copy and borrow my friend's expansions...

It was a great idea, it just generally had poor execution. But it's been around for a while now and there's probably only really huge fans left who have had plenty of time to work on things... So, hey, cool!
