    Default BlackJack Rules

    Hay =)
    I am trying to remember all the rules to blackjack.
    I know the basics and am asking for all the specifics.
    You can split if you have the same card (5 and a 5) can you split also if you have a Jack and King? You must put down another bet of equal amount if you split? When can you double down and what is it?
    When does the dealer ask if you want safety when they have a Ace or a 10 point card?
    I think that's about it.

    Quick question: Why would you split two 10 point cards anyway? Did you just go see the movie '21' cuz he split 10s in there and of course got 21 but what are the odds unless you are counting cards.

    Nope never saw it. Well I have not seen that movie, but you know the basis of card counting is to know when the dealer is most likely to bust right? Well splitting by itself someone in card counting almost never does. But it is not a bad idea to do IMO. You have a better chance to get a 10 card and another 10 card then getting any other card (not combined but just that point value vs any other single point value) But most will say never split.

    The odds of getting a 10 card, and then another 10 card after already having 2 10 cards with one deck and no other cards in play are as follows:

    14/50 * 13/49 = .07242587. That's a 7% chance of getting two ten cards if no other cards are in play. Odds change though.

    The player's options for playing his or her hand are:

    * Hit: Take another card.

    * Stand: Take no more cards, also "stick" or "stay".

    * Double down: Increase the wager to a maximum of double the original bet and take exactly one more card. For example, if the player's orignal bet was $25, the player could increase the bet by up to an additional $25, for a new total bet of up to $50. Increasing the wager to less than twice the original bet is called "double down for less".

    * Split: Double the wager and have each card be the first card in a new hand. This option is available only when both cards have the same rank.

    * Surrender: Forfeit half the bet and give up the hand.

    There are different variations of blackack. The same way we have like 50 different versions of poker.

    Or watch 21. It came out friday and didn't have much advertisement. It's actually pretty good, but kind of sloppy at the same time. Well it had a lot of potential.

    Hmm well 21 was advertised a lot over here.
    PG I am not sure how easily you will find one, it is made with Gin, vodka and Kina Lillet. You will most likely get something close to it but I doubt most bars have Kina Lillet since it is a wine. You really shouldn't get drinks from TV shows. Now if you are looking for a good tasting drink I would suggest some sort of fruit martini, while it can be considered for chicks, they are very tasty. As well if you want just something to get drunk off of Red Death which has Absolut Vodka (great flavor for vodka), some SoCo, Amaretto Sloe Gin and Triple sec Orange.
    On Topic: Thanks for the help. Anyone have any suggestings for unique card games? Wanna try and program that as well, eventually want to get a online table for playing.
