    Default Enso, Mud to Gold.

Well guys, tonight I have run into pure ****ING gold.

It's a program called Enso and it's basically a type task manager for EVERY one of your needs, and what's more, its 100% customizable, and you can make it "learn new commands"

Here's a description from the site:
Having to change programs to perform simple tasks—for example, making a quick calculation, or looking up a definition—breaks your concentration, takes you away from the task at hand, and wastes your valuable time. Enso lets you do common computing tasks easier and faster than ever before. You get a huge productivity boost and a simpler digital life. And now that Enso is free, it won't cost you a penny.
    and a wall street journalist:
Enso is dead simple to use. You just hold down the Caps Lock key and type an Enso command, which is displayed in a translucent overlay. Once the command is typed, you simply release the Caps Lock key to activate it, and the overlay disappears. If you type fast, it all happens in a flash. For instance, to launch the Firefox Web browser, you just hold down the Caps Lock key and type "open firefox." To look up the meaning of the word "proclivity," you just hold down the Caps Lock key and type "define proclivity."

Program just made everything a whole lot simpler for me.

also, Enso + Object Dock = unadulterated win.

I'm going to pass, sorry Serix.

Rocketdock is better than your off-brand one.

1: Rocketdock is a different application than Enso

2: Rocketdock is the "off-brand" version. Object dock was around a few years before Rocketdock, and they are all based off of the OSX dock found on Macs. And Rocketdock is a nice free dock, but there are those which are much more feature rich.

    Anyway, interesting tool.
I'm going to try it out on the system that I use at work before I really start using it, but defiantly interesting.

Man, this is awesome. I'm sitting here and opening up shit just for the hell of it, and I'm having fun.

And for those who are worried about the loss of your Caps Lock key (Though I can't see why), then just close Enso. You can open it up later, so people you share your PC with won't be bothered.

Actully, could you tell me if you are able to map that to a different key, or a key combo?
Because I need my caps key for other tasks, and if it were to grab my caps key it would break my set-up.

    Taken from the FAQs:
How can I set up Enso to use a key other than Caps Lock?

Give Enso the preferences command. This will take you to a screen where you can choose the key to use for Enso activation.

Can't you do that through itunes normally, via keyboard short cuts?
I thought that most music players have keyboard short-cuts, though you sometimes have to enable them first.

Anyway, I've tried it out a bit and I like it. Very nice little piece of software.

I'm going to laugh when all of your OSes crash, and I'm the only one left on onrpg. Or maybe I'm just being a little paranoid.

Yeah, like Serix said, you can only do so much with hotkeys. With a little optimizing (Incredibly simple), this Enso makes doing pretty much anything simple as hell. And since my mouse SUCKS RANCID MONKEY BALLS I'm really finding a lot of use for it.
