Only way to know is to ask the company that provides you with the phone connection thing.
I suppose your using pre-paid.
I aint got words for these phone things.
Maybe there's already a plan and you don't know..
If you have a minutes plan.. Usually they charge it externally..
Like you pay the minutes plan and if you send messages you pay more..

Reputation: 22If your cellphone uses a balance(you put cash on the phone yourself)then it will cost obviously. My texts costs 15 cents. My minutes cost 10 cents per minute.
Sounds like you have a pre-paid phone. 1 text msg is 1 minute.
There.

Reputation: 16Ok, no one here is really understanding what I'm saying. I AM NOT PAYING A MONTHLY FEE.
I'm using minutes. That means you go out, buy a card ($5, $10, $20), call the number on the back, tell them the code on your card and you get a the amount of minutes that the card costs. Which means you only have x amount of calling time. I just want to know how many minutes it takes up to to send/receive one text message. 5 seconds off your minutes, 10 seconds off? I know it's not 1 minute each text.
Also, my provider is 'Bell'.
