What do your grades mean to your parents?

A=Nice job, keep it up.
B=Almost, try a little harder. (usually gym or french)
C or lower=You better have a reason for this. *threatening dun dun duuun*

Dad's response:
Same as mom, except less uptight. He's more okay with my B's, and he won't kill me for a C.

This is my own grading scale

A- Good grade, keep it up
B-Decent
C-Average
D- A grade away from becoming epic fail
F- Epic fail.

My parents scale

A- Meh, we've seen too many of these, nothing new.
B- Decent, but make it an A next time
C- Wtf did you do?
D- I usually receive some lecture from my parents...
F- GTFO.

This school year mostly A's and B's, although, in second and beginning of third quarter, I got suspended, so, my grades went down. My parents got pissed. I also received refferals and I got a lot of C's this quarters for messing around in class.

Wow, my parents are asian, and they're not even strict. I got in 4 fights this year, 7 refferals, and they barely even care(The ONLY time they do care is if I get straight F's, but I mostly get A's and B's). I feel sorry for you people saying "A= Not good enough". Your parents need to be shot.

we have a number system so it goes like this

65 or below = failed course

100-90 - Wow you got a 90+? Good job son!
90-80 - Good job!
80-70 - Decent Job but you can do better
70-65 - You better do ALOT better next time
65-Below - Lecture and usually grounded for a few days but i havnt failed a course since 8th grade.
