Summer is almost here!

Yeahhh! I can feel it coming. I only have 2 weeks of school left and I'm out and technically I'll be a Senior! I am excited for the summer but I'm even more excited for my Senior year. Seniors don't have to do shit at our school, alot of them just roam the halls all day. Yeah I'll probably be taking some of the harder courses like physics and stuff, but the teacher is a pushover so it should be a breeze anyway.

What about you guys? What do you have planned for the summer and are you pumped about it?

Cool cool, two great bands. I'm going to warped tour in July. And I have SAT's in June. But other than that I have nothing major planned. May or may not get a job I can't say yet. I'm getting a guitar so part of my day is gonna have to go to that. And hanging out with friends whenever it's convenient. Of course they all have jobs so they will be working like 6 days a week. It's gonna suck not getting to see them every day but I guess I'll have to cope.

And of course I'm letting my hair grow out this summer! That's probably my favorite part of not having school lol.

i got 2 weeks of uni left but im kind of nervous about passing the year. i know i wont fail but if i come out of this with a third i wont be a happy chappy.

my graduation is in june some time, i dont know if ill stay down here the whole time once term finishes or if ill go back home then come back for the graduation ceremony. i have to wear one of those robes and stupid hats and sit in a hall for three hours in the heat, plus basically my whole family will be there going "oooh doesnt he looks smart" and other suhc embarassing stuff because they think im 12 not 21.

as for the summer, im kinda broke. uni sort of destroyed my bank balance. i got about £300 in my account but i got a £9000 debt to pay off too. guess ill be working some crappy job for chump change the whole summer.

still, when its sunny outside im happy enough.

well my tuition fees for the three years were around £1200 per year, then in the first year i stayed in student halls and that cost around £3000 for a year. the second two years im in the house i got now and the rent on that is £280 a month not including leccy, gas, water, food and whatnot.

so to afford all that i took a student loan, apparently my family is too rich to qualify me for a grant (ha yeah right, rich) so i had to use the loan. at the worst point, middle of last year i think, i was £990 into my £1000 overdraft. so my bank balance was -£990.

i know, fees are now £3000 a year at most uni's, i got in before they hiked up the prices. doesnt look good for my brother though. unless we have some kind of socialist revolution in the next year or so.

Yea, tuition fees are brutal.

Around here, if you were to attend a university and stay in a dorm on campus it would probably set you back about $13500 per year.
4year degree = $54000

The majority of people probably have to get this money from student loans....

That's a giant kick in the nuts when you finally finish. Probably $650 or more monthly payment....for the next 20 years or some crap.
