Default PSP Value Pack or Slim & lite

I know here has been psp conversations earlier.

Just, as I am planning to buy one.
Should I get Slim & Lite or earlier version, like can I downgrade firmware in S&L?
    Etc.

I dont know much of the consoles, and dont say NDS since Im getting mp3 player along it since my old one is done for.
    and I want psp.

I could get Value Pack PSP for about 99€ (nothing along it I guess) or S&L like 169-200€.

There is a "game" for nds that lets you play mp3 (inserting a sd card).

I bought the "entertainment pack" which had Daxter and a Family Guy UMD plus a 1gb memory card and a slim. The slim is easy as hell to hack, just DO NOT UPGRADE IT. If you don't you can do the whole thing without a pandora battery. Otherwise you'll needto get a pandora battery too.

So firmware 3.60 still works, but which is still overall better 1.50 or 3.60 when thinking about homebrews and benefits of Slim.
Or can you downgrade 3.60 to 1.50?
edit: or what the hell the firmware base version of Slim is.

Well, USA had price cuts in psp:s, and europe didnt?
Is ordering from USA possibility or is there PAL/NTSC style problem?
(yeah they "had" price cuts in europe, atleast MSRP changed.
Just seems all stores I go to still go at 199€)

And it was more expensive, at least here it was xD
I might go check prices again though, it seems this location I live at laggs behind from outer world.
Quite many shop sellers still think that 16 year olds are legit to buy tobacco, not sellers from real big chain stores like one called Prisma.

Still, if Entertaiment Packs in USA are 199$
    199 US$ = 128.461687 € ?
    Like hell they are.

Anyhow, is there any problems in using homebrews on slims fireware 3.60?

You can soft mod a slim battery so you'll still be able to use it, but you'd be better off finding someone who already has custom firmware (they'd be able to convert a fat battery to a pandora, then back again), or buying one off of eBay.

An alternative is to buy a PSP fat battery for around 30$, and make that one a permanent pandora battery.

You can find tutorials for all this on YouTube.

i got the pack with daxter and the 1gb stick. pretty good deal, and i only bought one game after that. custom firmware is really worth it.

No problems with downgrading on the Slim. Works just like the Phat one. I think there are different versions of some applications, but other than that nothing. You should be able to find written tutorials on downgrading everywhere.
