Reputation: 28I'm happy you found your answer. And for others with the same question then the answer is no. Unless you are able to manually put pixel shader on your computer, which will work very bad.
Reputation: 14it's sad people expect to play low and I mean low end games like requiem with something that doesn;t even have pixel shader 2.0....get with the times and get a card with pixel shader 4.0 atleast
now I understand that not all of you have money to make the best gaming machine, but you can build a good desktop for cheap that could play crysis on high settings just take the money you were going to use to buy a xbox 360 or ps3 and build a good computer with it
anyone have 254 bucks can buy this for good gaming....
http://www.bfgstore.com/ProductDetai...de=BFGPERFBNDL
reason you buy it with the PSU is because most computer even new ones bought in store don't have a powerful enough PSU to run the graphics card....
it's good to get 650W+ PSU
also at the least and I mean least you would want a AMD Athlon X2 5200+
and 2 gigs of RAM
then your computer could play anything and it would be cheap....
I have
about the same stuff as listed and can play Crysis on max settings with it smooth enough to not notice any problems....
so yah if you want to upgrade your computer do this and you will be playing any game with no problems for atleast a couple of years though as the years go on you might need to use lower settings...
What are you smoking? Requiem is not low end. As far as MMORPGs go, which generally have much lower requirements than single player games (you can't even compare crysis with mmorpgs), Requiem has some of the nicer set of graphics. It's not high end, but its up there. Maple story is low end. Out of 3d, something like Knight Online is low end. Requiem, is not low end.
Being able to run crysis smoothly shouldn't really be benchmark of a decent computer for everyone.
I see , interesting , I ll read the SDK site to see what kinda PC you need for this engine.
Most people have computers 3 years or high end 3 year old pcs. I dont know anyone who buys a new a pc every year. I think most people wait for 4 years , before a new machine.
Even now a days with cheaper PCs some people dont have the money to upgrade to the newest thing. I think 1.4 is still pretty standard in mmorpgs.
Lol how do i know if i have pixel shader on my pc
Reputation: 22goto run, type dxdiag then display tab I think.Or check your card manufacturer's website
Also my computer is 3 years old and it has pixel shader 2.0
on a side note, how come when I try to register on Req it says the
page is offline? Can I not register anymore?I know its OB so..
Reputation: 167Then you have no excuse to be able to earn $375K per year, be able to retire by the age of 60, or use proper punctuation or grammar when posting on a forum.
Your post was quite useless since there are those who post here who have no form of income of their own and have to use what they have.
Reputation: 14so you're telling me that they can buy a computer but not have 35 dollars in their wallet?
only people I can think of are little kids.......who don't even fit the age requirement for the game...if your a kid, playing games is a privilage not a right.....since your parents are paying all the bills....so no complaining
any person working could fork over 35 dollars.....
that's like someone saying they bought a car but left out the engine because they can't afford one.....
and yes I can retire by the age of 60 it's called knowledge of your finances...
if your a kid go cut some grass or do chores to make money......
Reputation: 14lol stop playing strawman with me....
if you can't afford something then you too bad.....like I said if you want progress there will be change and you must go along with that change.....
lets say you save 1 dollar a day by the next month you have enough for a shader 2.0 card........
you're dodging the issue of this being cheap......
if you buy a console and want to play a game you have to pay 60 dollars to play the newest generation versions...
and guess what the average age of gamers is..... over age 25 now.....
you can see where I am going with this.....
and I am a college student too who is pinching the penny.....and my friends are too and we all have money at some times to use to buy a book or a game or movie or something small.......I think almost everyone does.....
if you plan out life correctly you can be living with almost no financial problems
Reputation: 167Again I return to what you say. You said there is no excuse. And since you are in college, its now for 100% certain you have no excuse for failing to use proper grammar and punctuation.
I never dodged the issue of being cheap. You just fail to understand that what you previously said is false.
Some people cannot even afford cheap. If what I say is false, then the F2P MMORPG build would not be present today.
LMAO...if you plan out life correctly you can be living with almost no financial problems
Is your education fully paid for by other means than grants and scholarships? If not, then I welcome you to reality when you graduate. Even if it is, you are living in a dream world that is granted to only a small handful of people.
BanMido
My baby brother is a full time college student , he has 3 weekends a month free , and works at Papa johns making 8.00 an hour. His PC is thanks to our father is 2 and half years old , its doesnt have 2.0 Shader , and 35.00 is a big deal when you trying to juggle school , girlfriend , and normal life.
Many people , especially in US are struggling with climbing gas prices , raising food bills , and cost of living. Not everyone has the free money , if I didnt answer emails for a friend's company I wouldnt be able to afford gas for crappy honda.
I d suggest you seeing the world from another's point of view.
----
I had an IRA , stocks in Wal Mart and Apple , I suffer lupus at 23 , had to retire at 24 , dip into my life savings , until my retirement and disability was solved. You cant plan out everything , I had 6 months rent stocked away as per the lady at the bank suggested.
I would have never guessed prices would have rised so much , look at gas its almost 5.00 a gallon , and everything at Wal Mart had risen by 70 cents. I d hate to be a parent with kids or a college student trying to by on limited income.
Reputation: 14first of all I see this will get no where since you keep dodging the issue and throw up fallacies along with it.....
second, me using correct grammer in a forum is not important, I am not writing a term paper or anything that important......( and looking at your sigs tell me alot about you......lol)
third, and this is a repeat, but like I said before a 12 year old kid with no job could buy one of these cards......it's called using your brain......when I was younger I wanted to get a super nintendo, but wasn't old enough to have a actual job.....so I went around and did yard work for other people......and I saved all the money I could for it.....
and yes I have found ways to pay off most of my college and there is free money out there...the government has many programs you just have to search for them......
if you can't afford the money to buy a shader 2.0 card then you shouldn't be complaining about not being able to play newer games out.....
also I live in california a big place for recession.....so don't talk to me about having trouble.....
also to add there are college programs that will pay for your computer too...
and if all you can save is 1 dollar from your paycheck then just keep saving until you have enough....
You are a joke. Please come to Missouri or Illinois I think you will find that California is "lite" compared to these states.
As for your "there is no excuse to afford" as I have said before. I have not dodged or avoided the question. Your college education has failed you since you cannot comprehend what I have said. You never though of all the variables.
"There is no excuse" means just that. No one has an excuse to gripe, then you have no excuse in your grammar and punctuation being so poor. Regular practice of this everyday will get you farther than when you slack.
The same priciple as "get off your ass and mow lawns to earn $$" applies to "practice everyday with your grammar and punctuation to better yourself". Its called being lazy.
Learn and comprehend what one says.
OT:As for this topic, if you cant afford what you want, always look for alternatives.
If you are willing to work for it, recyle.
At this moment, it is easier to recyle than it is to mow lawns. Mowing lawns cost gas and how much is gas now? Consider that and labor?
Recycling only requires labor.
Copper wire can go for $3.00 a pound.
Aluminum cans goes for $0.76 a pound.
Diecast aluminum goes for $0.65 a pound. That would be lawn mower engine housing, transmission housing, riding mower transmission housing, many heads to engines and some engine block.
You can also find buyers of car batteries, alternators, and starters.
Bottle, newspaper, plastic and cardboard too.
A bit of tools and some labor and you can afford even a monthly fee and then some.
Prices vary in each state and coutry when it comes to recycleing.
