I found a very good free MMORPG called Regnum Online. Although most of the people speak spanish, the graphics are great, and there is a wonderful abundance of quests. It has a WoW-like combat system. There are 9 different races with 2 side classes for each race. Your character will be part of 1 of 3 "realms", or different areas in the world. The only major differences between the realms are what races inhabit that realm, and the environement. 1 realm is a frozen tundra, another a baron wasteland, and the last, a lush forest. Does anybody know of a game, or games, that are very very similar to WoW, but completely free? When I say similar, I am basically talking about a near copy of WoW. Please reply A.S.A.P.

Common sense prevails unfortunately - If there was a free near copy of Wow, I don't think Blizzard's silver lined pockets would be as heavy. Logic - Why pay for the original when you could get one for free.

I think the sucess of world of warcraft speaks for itself, if there was a free near copy that was as good we would have been reading it in the press and seeing it on the news and everyone would know its name!!!!

What I would recommend is Perfect World. This is the closest thing I've found so far, to something similiar. The graphics are excellent, and the gameplay machanics feel similiar to Wow, but there are differences. Do you background research on this one at http://www.perfectworld.cc There are things about this game that are better then Wow.

NP, but don't let the asian themed world put you off, Perfect World is the best I've found, and there's a big fantasy element to the game like wow.

Are there enough quests in Perfect World, so that quests fill up about 3/4 of your exp bar, even at higher lvls?

I noticed that Sryth Age of Igtheon is not listed. It is a pretty fun game that is text, browser base, and surprisingly addictive.

If it hasn't already been mentioned, Herrcot is an awesome free MMORPG. I'm a lvl 18 Barbarian-Paladin and I havn't had to grind 1 point of experience : ) It isn't fully finished and still has a few bugs, but its worth a try. The only major downside...it's written in German. There is an English patch, but it doesn't change all the text to English. Within a short amount of time I've been able to game as good as someone who can read German. I would definetly recommend trying it out.

I've tried some other MMO's that were listed here and none has really caught my eye of party based. Does anyone have any recommendations?

DOMO. It has multiclassing and you need a party to do just about anything in the game.
