    Default Economic Sims(?)

Recently, I got my hands on Capitalism 2, and I'm having a blast with it. I've always liked detailed sim games, and this one takes the cake, from what I can see, despite it's age and outdated graphics.

Is anyone else into these kinda games? And if so, can you refer a newbie to some good ones (Age doesn't matter)?

Why are you so interested in those games?

Because they're fun. I like the concept of running a business and making bajillions, especially when it's on a game and I can restart when I fail.

Capitalism 2 excites me because of how realistic and far-ranging it is - nearly anything you could imagine having to do in a real business is included, as are a ton of different products to min/produce/sell.

That, and I have an interest in business in general. I'm considering starting one later in life (Though it's more likely to be an Air Charter business than a buy/sell type of thing, if I decide to go down that path), and games like this give me somewhat of a taste for how it will be like.

After a few googles I think you are pretty much stuck with that one.

I see you falling in love hardcore with the Civilization series.

As for actual economy games, I'm ****ing clueless.

Already done, though thanks for the suggestion.

/Colonization was way better than Civ, by the way.

You could try War of Conquest O-o, it's quite a lot off your alley, but you manage a nation, research, etc and have to attack other nations.

It gets quite entertaining, as simple as it is, my compulsion to make everything a single color or a pretty design has led me to play it for hours on end.

Or take a look at Europa 1400, it's the only thing I can see that someone has recommended to somebody else that was asking the same question as you.

Dwarf Fortress is the only Sims/Civ I like anymore.
Just if those carps would stop eating my dwarves.

Caesar 4. I have been wanting to re-install that game and try it again myself. My last computer had trouble handling it.
