[News] Local Teacher Arrested For Dealing Drugs

FULLERTON -- A teacher at Sunny Hills High School is behind bars on weapon and narcotics charges.

31 year old Gregory Abbott is charged with possession of a weapon on a school campus and possession of narcotics for sale.

According to Fullerton Police Sgt. Mike MacDonald, officers received an anonymous 911 call shortly before 10 this morning, in which the caller claimed "he had purchased drugs from a person he believed to be a teacher at Sunny Hills.

"The caller also said the person, who he identified as Abbott, had a weapon in his vehicle."

MacDonald said the Police Department's High School Resource Officer contacted Abbott in his classroom and obtained permission to search his vehicle.

The search revealed an unloaded shotgun, some prescription drugs and a small amount of marijuana.

Abbott has taught history at the high school for the past seven years.

Now this may be a rather insignificant event, with the child molestations and other stuff going on, BUT I AM SHOCKED.

Mostly because he's my 2nd Period teacher.

I have no idea what to say.

Maybe its that guy I saw on some cops show. The cop showed up to sell him some crack, and he smoked it right in his class room. He said "If I get caught with this shit, I'll just say I confiscated it from some kid I don't like".
