Dont listen to war horses idiotic statement
If you can, look for an mp3 player. Ipods are way over inflated. you can usually find a good mp3 player with the same storage space as an ipod for 50-100 dollars cheaper
Reputation: 10Idiotic Statement? wtf?
You do know you can use a PSP as a music player and use it for a bunch of other things awell..right?
uh ya i'd suggest mp3's . btw don't get any mp3's with the really quick charges. its kills the battery. i learned that the hard way.
for the 50 dollars it costs to get a decent memory stick for it, you only have the storage space of a ipod shuffle. at that point he might as well get a video ipod, which has 30 gigs of space

Except he's not looking for the "bunch of other things". It has micro storage and as a music player, is just good for "in-between". It's not good for a full portable music station. Not enough space. No where near enough.Originally Posted by War Horse
Now, lots of people like to bash the I-Pod because it's the "in" thing. That's what happens to things that are "in". Half the people love them, half the people hate them.
Now, my advice, shop around first and see what you are looking in a player.
I-Pods have a reputation to scratch which people really complain about, but what they never mention is that it can take more damage then most other mp3 players and still work.
Sure, there will be scratches, but it will at least work after you've driven a car over it, which I think is more important then a few scratches.
And they do come with quite a price, but the warrenty is very good. My friend's I-pod broke down recently, and he just had to send it in, and it was replaced, he didn't pay shipping or anything. As long as you have the recipt and the warrenty is still valid, it's that easy to replace it.
And also, a reminder, I-tunes is not the only program that will import songs into the I-pod anymore. You can now use Winamp too.
