Default Secret Online likely to be cancelled

it seems that negotiations between Zyon Games and the producers have failed and are taking the matter to the court. In other words, there is a big chance Secret Online will not appaer at all.

    Community Update 06/02/08

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, After long negations. The Developer just dose not want to be our partner and agree to our terms. We have compromised in every way by offering them more money, but we just are not seeing eye to eye with each other.

The next step will be to let the lawyers handle this, since I stuck nearly a lot of money and manpower so far into this game.

We will be going forward with our second and third titles and I am happy to say the developers love us and gave us everything we asked for.

I apologize to the community that this has happened.

    Best,
    Steve
perhaps Atiari's inside contacts weren't so wrong after all.

Anyway you won't miss anything. SO is pure crap. I tested the chinese version and it sucks. Graphics are outdated. Textures are in low res. Characters move as is they had a rod in the a**...

Go play Requiem or ROHAN. Thoses games are way better than SO.

I am playing on an outdated system configuration (Radeon x1950 pro 512mo / AMD Sempron 3200+ / 2Go DDRAM2). And i can run both thoses games correctly.

SO just sucks. There is nothing interesting in it. Graphics and gameplay suck. If you wanna chain kill mobs there are tons of better "grind-like" MMORPG than SO.

I have a Geforce FX 5500 and only 450-500mb of available ram but I can run every F2P game out at decent fps, except Requiem.

Edit: My PC is around 6 years old and video card is 4 years old.

The only thing remotely outdated about that system is the processor, though the VGA could do with a little switching, which can be updated for nothing short of about 200 dollars.

Anyone could run those games with no problem if they had that system.

My inside contacts just happened to the the developer of the game, Ferry Network Technology.

As far as the unprofessional posts, I am not surprised. The developer contacted me after the unprofessional post (which is now removed) in which same very same person took shots at both me and Onrpg and asked if what was posted was true. Obviously it was not and they used that and their other reason (one I cannot share) as grounds to remove the license from Zyon Games.

On the bright side, if you are looking to play it we are expecting a press release from Ferry Network Technologies soon about who will now be publishing it.

Perhaps the possible thought that SO would not be such a succes in the West?!
investments are a risk, that's for sure. I honestly wouldn't put my money on SO either, if i had a choice, i'd go for something more contemporain
oh your right. i guess it's all depend on experience and how good you negotiate.
