In order for something to be a sport is must require skill. Rolling a dice does not require skill.

Anyway, from his article, he's pretty much saying "To me it's more than a game because I play with my family." Well, not everyone plays it with their family. Just because you like to play football with your friends doesn't mean it's a job to you because there are some people who play football for their living.
