They did in older games so anything's possible.
I am thinking I mean it was kind of wierd when they didn't release a no cd patch the last ladder reset because they did it for the second to last and the third to last ladder reset.
I'm kinda thinking since they did it for their older games on the next reset they'll release the patch after that.

Are you guys serious? There already is, and has been, a nocd patch for diabloII/I as well as the other 2...this thread is just not needed imo unless its a patch with new content or something.

It does matter, because, blizzard never released a no cd patch, they will probably release it now, so this thread deserves to live.
And the people who use it are probably the ones who downloaded the game from a torrent...

I think they will keep updating Diablo 2, mainly because they have been on top of hackers lately unlike a year or 2 ago when warden sucked balls.
If they care so much to stop the hackers, then they are going to keep updating the game. As for new content maybe; if Diablo 3 is true, then Diablo 2 content would be a warmup for the new D3.
