Why do we need another thread? Especially in OnRPG.. Keep it to Rohan's forums, where there's already enough of these damn threads, not here.

It's tricky like that, the item themselves aren't game breaking, but the way the game works, they become a must later on. In later PVP, most people use Heirograms (automatically restores you're HP when it gets below half, with a small cooldown) so they become a must to be competitive. Second, there's crafting, the cash shop sells crafting mats. This isn't really a must early on, because the ingredients required to make the early equipments are small in quantity hence it is easy to make items. Later on though, the amount of materials you need increase a lot, and once again, to be competitive in pvp, you have to have "3 star" equips, which are fairly rare crafts (you could easily craft 30 of the same item and not get a 3 star). Materials you find just by walking around just aren't enough. Materials you find by killing monsters (eg: cotton/silk threads, rough leathers) become especially hard to acquire, and you end up either buying from cash shop, or buying from someone who's bought the items from cash shop. Which brings me to my next point, people who pour money into the game can just sell cash shop currency or cash shop items for ingame gold. They become extremely rich, think of it as a built in gold seller. In effect, the economy is only suited for those regularly selling cash shop items, for others, the prices are somewhat high. Last but not least, replacement dolls, when you die (small chance when you're white, high chance when you're red, ie have been pking) you can drop items, a replacement doll prevents you from dropping items. These become necessary at high lvl, because the pking becomes a little more common, and you actually have stuff that you really wouldn't want to lose. I lost crafting mats while I was white, fighting a quest boss. At one point, my guild was in a all out PK war with another guild, and while I didn't attack anyone that was white (only attacked members of the other guild that had already pked) and only died about 3 times, I lost 200k worth of items. I wasn't the worst off though, someone from the other guild dropped their cash shop butterfly wings. Because of these items, cash shop items become as necessary (well, actually more so) as pots.

wait...WTF?, I lose items even by being killed being white?, ok....that's it for me seeing end-game content, I'm playing just for the boredoom, but you aare so right on that, expending in-game time crafting items just to lose them like that?, no thanks
